Psychotherapist | Couples Therapist | Craniosacral Therapist | Life Coach

About Me
I am a Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust and Tavistock Relationships respectively. I also offer Craniosacral Therapy and Life Coaching.
My entry into this profession was the result of my own experience with Psychotherapy and the personal growth it provided me. My chronic overthinking was creating anxiety in all aspects of my life. I was my own worst enemy and my fear-based perspective would habitually destroy my hopes and dreams, before they ever got started. Ultimately, I was living in a very limited world. Working with a Psychotherapist helped me identify and target my triggers of overthinking and develop strategies for managing them. This allowed me to start living from a more spacious place of freedom and peace. I now profit from this growth everyday, making the choice to be the best person I can be, for my wife and children.

A Psychotherapeutic Approach Tailored to You
I initially trained at The Psychosynthesis Trust, an approach that acknowledges life challenges as opportunities for deeper growth and transformation. Over time, my practice has evolved into an integrative one, informed strongly by Psychoanalytic, Gestalt and Person-Centred psychologies. This integrative framework allows me to meet each client uniquely, weaving together different therapeutic modalities to best support your individual needs.

My approach is relational and explorative. I pay close attention to your unconscious processes, past experiences and the subtle ways these shape your life. I also emphasise present moment awareness and the insights that can be gleamed from the inescapable here and now. I believe there is far more to us than our surface-level identities and habitual patterns. Together, we will creatively explore the internal parts of you longing for deeper recognition, expression and integration.
I intentionally incorporate the right side of your brain, associated with intuition, imagination and holistic thinking. This creative and experiential approach helps you move beyond overthinking, into a more embodied, practical way of being. Allowing you to shift unhelpful habits, develop tools to navigate life’s challenges and cultivate peace and authenticity in your daily life.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I am not an expert on your life, you are. My role is to hold a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where all aspects of you are welcome, including the parts that feel vulnerable or confused. However, whilst our work together is grounded in compassion and understanding, I sometimes gently challenge you when necessary. This compassionate challenge is key to breaking through unhelpful patterns, defence mechanisms or limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. This process often leads to profound insights, helping you to understand and integrate all parts of yourself, including those that may feel conflicted or wounded.

Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a non-invasive, hands-on technique that aims to enhance the body's natural healing processes and settle the nervous system. It focuses on the cerebrospinal fluid and the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, collectively known as the Craniosacral System.

How Craniosacral Therapy Works
Balancing the Craniosacral Rhythm - CST practitioners use light touch to detect and gently manipulate the craniosacral rhythm. This rhythm corresponds to the subtle movement of cerebrospinal fluid, which nourishes and protects the central nervous system.
Releasing Tension and Restrictions - Tension often accumulates in the body, especially in the neck, shoulders and head. CST aims to release restrictions in these areas, promoting relaxation and alleviating stress-related symptoms.
Facilitating the Body's Self-Healing Mechanisms - CST promotes the body's innate ability to heal itself. By enhancing the function of the Craniosacral System, the therapy encourages self-correction and promotes overall well-being.

Benefits
Stress Reduction - CST's gentle touch can induce a state of deep relaxation, helping you unwind and release accumulated stress. The aim is to rebalance the nervous system and release energy blockages.
Improved Sleep Quality - Many people struggle with insomnia or restless sleep. CST can contribute to better sleep quality by promoting a sense of calm and balance.
Enhanced Mental Clarity - By releasing tension in the head and neck, CST can contribute to improved mental clarity, allowing you to approach thoughts with a more balanced perspective.
Emotional Release - Many mental health issues are tied to unresolved emotions. CST can facilitate the release of emotional tension, providing a safe space for emotional processing.

What to Expect During a Session
Clothing and Environment - CST is performed with the client fully clothed on a comfortable massage table.
Light Touch - A light touch is used to detect and address imbalances in the craniosacral system. Palpating movements and rhythms on different parts of the body.
Sensations - During the session, you may experience sensations such as warmth, pulsations or subtle movements. These are normal responses to the therapy.
Post-Session Integration - After the session, it's common to feel relaxed yet alert. Some people may experience emotional release, while others feel a sense of lightness and increased energy.
Combined with Psychotherapy (1.5 hours) - Sessions will last approximately 40 minutes, allowing the remaining 50 minutes to be used for Psychotherapy. These sessions can be very powerful as after CST, clients feel especially clear over the next steps to take them forward.

Life Coaching for Overthinkers
We live in a very heady society. With disconnection through technology and the countless decisions we have to make every day, it's hard not to fall victim to overthinking.
Worry and uncertainty are the fuel of overthinking. The torrent of thoughts can range from over analysis, obsessive, fear based, perfectionistic, rumination, excessively negative, catastrophic and fixated on control. All of which create unproductive mental exhaustion. They can also promote further conditions such as depression, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder, OCD and PTSD.
Overthinking can also cause relationship issues and controlling behaviours. Conflict arises when jumping to incorrect conclusions based on assuming the worst and obsessing over the minutiae of people's actions and words.

Our sessions will help you identify the underlying causes of your overthinking and develop coping strategies tailored to your needs. Allowing you to gain insight into your behaviour and learn how to better manage your thoughts, emotions and reactions. Overthinking can greatly reduce one's quality of life. Through self-awareness and personal growth, one can start to enjoy a more fulfilling and peaceful life. I work in person or online and offer a free 15 minute discovery session.
